Though, as Katez said, the glow around the iris looks really weird.
I like the atmosphere you tried putting it in, oh, and those lines. I'm guessing you drew this in FlashMX? xD I don't know, just guessing.
ANYWAY. what I suggest you to do is to shade this thang. I'm sure that gives it more depth. If you want the eyes to stand out, you can always make it glow light green, instead of white. Try shading the eye with a lot of contrast in it, I'm sure that would be an awesome effect. Oh, but if you'd do that, and you aimed for it to look lifeless.. err.. you can always not add in highlights to the eyes (or just not a lot). It gives it a bit of a depressing feeling, or something like that. Personally I would use the no-highlight-in-the-eyes technique for zombies, possessed people/animals/things (what Amy now is, lol) and people in a very cruel act, or that just feel broken.
